The sign stands on the site of Sandford Preaching Cross. The sign takes the form of a pierced disc bearing the name of the parish, St Botolph, below which is a bishop’s mitre. The crest is as yet unidentified. Around the base of the sign are four slate plaques with the following words (counterclockwise from the front) - Roman stone; Wyndham family connection; Old Rectory haunting; E H Bickersteth Peace perfect, peace. https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/6120496
