This, mostly hidden, stone is on the A857 20 miles from Stornoway leading to Port Nis in the far north of Lewis. It is near a field gate between the lanes to North and South Galson. On the 1931 OS 1" map Butt of Lewis it is 7 miles to Port Nis.
