As Taverns go, this one is a monster! Built within the square at the junction of the A1, B519 and A400, it looks like a suitable place for a Gothic party. In an area with a large Irish community, it has advertised Guinness for as long as I care to remember - the clock advert being updated for the millennium celebrations. It is also a music venue. The building behind is the Whittington Hospital. Buses stop on this side of the road for North Finchley, Friern Barnet and Brent Cross.
