Now council offices. This mill manufactured plain net from 1829 to 1964. The mill owner for many years was Col J W Gifford, astronomer and pioneer in X-ray photography. I think this mill was home to an early single cylinder beam engine that is now preserved in America. A truncated chimney is incororated in the structure to the right of centre.
