Gateway to former hall at Hutton Bonville

Hutton Bonville Hall once stood in the area beyond this gateway which has retained its stone piers. The hall seems to have been demolished around 1970 and is referred to by Pevsner [Buildings of England, Yorkshire North Riding pub: 1966] as 'decaying' and of five bays with two castellated turrets. This description confirmed after finding an old B/W photograph. The photograph would suggest a 19thC building of no particular architectural merit, so maybe it wasn't a great loss.
