The town's post office on The Horsefair. The building to the left is rather more interesting, having once been a coaching inn known as The Three Greyhounds [note the greyhounds on the gable wall], and before that a house belonging to the Mauleverer family, whose crest included these dogs. The Horsefair was once part of the Great North Road and so was well provided with inns.
