Foxhall is a few miles east of Ipswich and is actually an ecclesiastical hamlet to Brightwell. In the sign's design is a sitting fox, a ploughed field illustrating its agricultural heritage, a barrel, and a tall chimney informing us of the brewery and pub called the Waddling Duck, which once stood within its confines. Fern fronds and ivy also decorate the sign with hop leaves which relate to 22 acres called the hop grounds
