The north eastern end of the marketplace looking towards Tollgate House, built in 2006. When I was young it was a highlight of the week to visit here on a Wednesday to see the cattle market which took place at this end of Romford Market. In front of the building there are sections where the original granite setts with which the whole market was paved, have been re-used. The pedestrians here are masked as a precaution against Covid-19.
