Brookhouse Mills, Preston

Image: © Chris Allen Taken: 1 Aug 2010

A large former cotton mill now used by an upholstery firm. On the left are Mills 1 and 2 of 1844 that shared an integral double beam engine house that is not visible from here. On the right is the 1858 block that has an integral single beam engine house that is also not visible. Next to the 1858 block are a possible later horizontal engine house and lower boiler house but there is no chimney now and I'm not entirely convinced by the architectural features.
