Image: © Chris Allen Taken: 1 Aug 2010

A large former cotton mill that is now owned by an upholstery firm. On the left are Mills 1 and 2 of 1844. on the right is the block built in 1858 with an integral beam engine house marked by the tall arched window. This housed a single cylinder beam engine that was later pusher compounded. The building to the left of the beam engine are in keeping with a later horizontal engine house and boiler house, although there is now no evidence of a chimney.
