The line from Nine Elms to Richmond came into service on 27th July 1846. This view looks from the footbridge between Dyers Lane and Beauchamp Terrace towards Barnes station which is just beyond the bridge in the distance. There are two fast lines here for trains from Waterloo to Reading or Windsor & Eton Riverside and two slow lines for trains from Waterloo to Richmond and over the Hounslow Loop.
