Leaving Carlin How as "Back Street (Path)", signposts indicate this as a named route, the Cleveland Street Walk. Neither name seems to sit well with a muddy footpath which hugs the edge of a ploughed and harrowed arable field, with very little in the way of conservation headland. A haze of green indicates that something is germinating as a winter-grown crop.
