The new school has mushroomed on former farmland, and is currently surrounded by fields and trees, though the fields are destined to become a housing estate in the next few years. The new seven form entry secondary school is expected to open in September 2021. As a Free School, Deer Park School would be operated by the Wildern Academy Trust and not the County Council.
