The original route of the Fishwives' Path, and indeed that shown on the map of the path on the Moray Ways website https://www.morayways.org.uk/routes/the-fishwives-route/ and on the web site of the Scottish Rights of Way Society https://scotways.com/heritage-path/?id=67, goes straight on up the hill here to pass the bungalow and then the farm house and buildings at Drodland. The waymarked route, however, turns left here and follows a deviation through the forestry plantations.
