Despite the smallness implied by the name, this is in fact the grandest building in the village centre - the comparison is with Orton Hall further to the south. The house (left) dating from 1604 is grade II* listed (list entry 1326736) and the attached barn to the right grade II (1311584). It is also known as Orton Old Hall, as the larger house was built a couple of generations later in 1662.
