Seeing into the past

Right at the crossroads in Berkeley is an old building that is currently occupied by an opticians. The date of 1666 appears to be accurate and the appearance has not changed much for over a century. During internal work 'Berkeley Institute' was discovered in a façade and indicates it used to be a meeting room.
