The church of St Paul in Friars Street has its origins as a cemetery chapel, built in 1824 in the Tudor Gothic style. The building became a church when the nave and chancel were added in 1844 in the Early English style. The chapel is now the south transept. Listed, grade II, with details at: https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1035460
