It includes the following text: The Carleton Trail follows colour coded walking and cycling routes through the Clogher Valley taking in many of the sites associated with the works of this famous 19th Century poet and novelist William Carleton 1794 - 1869. The Round Lake, a source of the River Blackwater, is so called because ol the shape of the lough. There are caravan and camping facilities and coarse angling on site. The former name of Fivemiletown was Baile na Lorgan which means the town on the long ridge. The present name derives from the town's location five Irish miles from its nearest neighbours of Clogher, Brookborough and Tempo. The Clogher Valley Railway which ran through the Valley between 1887 and 1941 passed down the middle of the main street.
