Banchor Cemetery was the final destination on the Coffin Road from the Spey (see Image). The sign here replaced the original in 2014, funded by public donation, Newtonmore and Vicinity Community Council, Comunn na Gaidhlig and the Royal Celtic Society - information from the nearby board describing the Coffin Road.
