Looking south-south-west towards Lower Gornal. This tree enshrouded public footpath at the eastern boundary of Cotwall End Nature Reserve is more like an unsurfaced lane. It is the Old Coach Road, which led to Ellowes Hall, which was demolished in the 1960s and replaced by a school. Many mature lime and beech trees remain.
