Named after the locality but at one time this pub was known as The Grasshopper. The business was recently acquired by Black Country Ales. They refurbished the pub and re-opened it on the 4th July 2020. Usually their pubs have a simple sign with no illustration but the Hanbury Turn is one of the few exceptions to this. The brewery appear to have used the last sign but painted their name etc. on it. Image The sign photographed on 21/01/2012 which was different to the current one:- Image
