The small plaque explains its being against the north wall and not over the Altar. "This Reredos which formerly stood in the private chapel of Athelstan Riley's house in London and escaped destruction in the two Great Wars was presented by his daughter Morewenna Brocklebank in memory of her husband and of her father, Erected 1950."
