“Oor Billy” is sculpture#1 on "Oor Wullie's Big Bucket Trail" in Glasgow. Designed by artist Robert Stevenson, “Oor Billy” is a tribute to Glasgow comedy legend Billy Connolly. The sculpture design is bright, colourful and fun – reflecting Billy’s personality. It depicts his life - from his early days working in the Glasgow shipyards. His shirt is based on his appearance in ‘An audience with…’ from 1985, his purple beard and moustache from the early noughties and the purple-tinted glasses he wears today.
