The Old Shot Tower

The Old Shot Tower was built in 1799 or 1800 and is now listed. It remains the tallest structure in Chester. This was one of only three such towers built to manufacture musket shot for the Napoleonic Wars. It has been bought by Bellway Homes [Manchester] for redevelopment.
