The interior, looking East. On the North side is a Norman doorway and a two-bay 14th century arcade, both blocked. The central pier of the blocked arcade has a capital so large and ungainly that it may pre-date the rest of the work. Pevsner suggests an 11th century date, but could it be reused Roman material, from nearby Kenchester (Magnis) ? The appearance of the interior owes much to the restorations of 1861-2 and 1877-8, the last by Middleton & Son of Cheltenham. The nave roof dates from 1867.
