Behind the vehicle's front wheels are rotating brushes that sweep debris to the centre where it is vacuumed or swept up into the tank as the vehicle moves slowly forward. Lime trees are particularly productive of twigs, flowers, fruits on papery bracts, and finally leaves that turn into brown mush when wet. This vehicle is operated by Veolia on behalf of one or other council, district or county. Broad Street is an attractive street of two-storey orange brick terrace houses.
