City centre real ale public house located on the corner of Butt Close Lane and Blake Street. It was built in 1854 and by the 20th century it was owned by the City Brewery (Lichfield). It was later owned by Banks's Brewery of Wolverhampton. It re-opened as a free house in 2004. In February 2016 the real ale specialist brewery, Black Country Ales, leased the pub. Image
