The “flying umbrellas” strung across Market Street are part of Ulverston Community Enterprises’ latest exhibition https://www.nwemail.co.uk/news/18627026.hanging-umbrellas-hidden-pianos-colourful-cairns-brighten-ulverston-new-outdoor-exhibition/. The group is running a series of outdoor installations throughout August to bring some enjoyment into the town after the venue was forced to cancel the remainder of its events for 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/COVID-19_pandemic_in_the_United_Kingdom .
