A track (tarmacced up to Kirknewton Mains) leads from the main A71 road to Kirknewton Mains, then onto Kirknewton village. This ruin is about halfway between the main road and Kirknewton Mains. Unnamed on all old maps, at one stage it appears to have had a garden. It is on the oldest 1850s OS map and still shaded in, which at the very least tends to signify it still had a roof, on a 1960s map.
