Bridge parapet, A45 Kenpas Highway

The south-western parapet of the bridge carrying the A45 over the Coventry-Leamington railway. Early Ordnance Survey maps show Green Lane crossing the railway diagonally from north to south at this point. The by-pass was constructed in 1937, crossing the railway at right-angles and Green Lane was effectively split into unconnected north and south sections. A date stone (Image]) is visible on the parapet.
