Mae'r eglwys bresennol, sy wedi'i chysegru i Sant Egwad, yn dyddio i 1849 pan ddymchwelwyd yr hen adeilad. Ychwanegwyd y twr yn 1902. Atgyweiriwyd yr eglwys yn 1949. Hyd at tua deuddeg mlynedd yn ol yr oedd gan y twr bigdwr ond fe'i tynnwyd i lawr gan ei fod yn achosi difrod i weddill yr adeilad. The old church, dedicated to St Egwad, was demolished to make way for the present edifice in 1849. The tower was added in 1902 and in 1849 the church underwent much needed restoration. Up until approximately twelve years ago a steeple rested on top of the tower but this was removed as it was causing structural damage to the rest of the church.
