Mersey Docks and Harbour Board No.11 on the MDHB main line alongside Huskisson Dock, at this point running inside the dock wall. At this time it was still possible to obtain photo permits from the MDHB, hence the lack of interest from the policeman. No.11 was built by Hunslet in 1940, works no.1985, when the MDHB needed more locomotives during WW2. The Higsons Atlantic Hotel, with the white gable https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/5078017 , survived the general demolition along the dock road, and survived until at least 2019.
