This unusually named pub on Knighton Road, at the north end of the village, had not reopened following the Covid-19 lockdown at the time of this photograph. Shortly after the imposition of the lockdown the landlady was taken ill, having contracted the virus, and spent 31 days in an induced coma at Derriford Hospital in Plymouth. Happily, by June she was reported to be recovering and local people had raised £16,000 for her on-going care. The pub is now up for sale.
