On the verge adjacent to the lane to St. Joseph's R.C. church. The reason for the siting of a cross here is not known to me, but as it is close to the church it may have been a marker to indicate the church's whereabouts. It seems possible that the cross might originally have had an inscription which is now obliterated, so alternatively the cross might have been a memorial of some kind.
