Austin's Bridge is No 83 across the Shropshire Union Canal. It is an accommodation bridge which also carries the public footpath which crosses farm land between Hankelow and Sound. The South Cheshire Way makesuse of this path. https://ldwa.org.uk/ldp/members/show_path.php?path_name=South+Cheshire+Way https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/South_Cheshire_Way The policy of smothering old brick bridges with thick white (protective?) paint makes the structures look very smart for a year or so, then progressively more grubby for the next twenty.
