Transport for Wales' newly rebuilt Class 769 unit, No. 769002, is seen on its first venture out of Canton depot under its own power, and is on a training run scheduled for Rhymney, Penarth and Rhymney for a second time. Here, it has just departed Dingle Road station, heading for Rhymney. Unfortunately the second run up the Rhymney Valley was terminated short, and the unit turned back at Caerphilly.
