Looking much smarter than it did in 2017, when it was on the brink of closure: Image It has now become Scotland's first community-owned pub. Funding was obtained by the local community from the Scottish Land Fund and National Lottery for its renovation and conversion for use as a community hub with cafe, shop, and restaurant, as well as a traditional pub. Like all pubs, it was shut for a spell in the spring/summer of 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
