The monument with the ornate cross is in memory of Elizabeth Nelson, wife of Samuel Edmund Glover. Also in memory of Samuel Edmund Glover, Edmund Nelson Glover, James Lumsden Glover and Elizabeth Fanny Anderson. The entire cemetery is Category B listed http://portal.historicenvironment.scot/designation/LB33623. Beyond the gravestones the ground is being prepared for redevelopment work as part of the Sighthill Regeneration project. On the horizon, to the south of Glasgow, some of the wind turbines at Whitelee Wind Farm can just be seen.
