The gates were a gift from the crew who flew from USAAF Rackheath during WWII. The men are named on the plaque situated on the brick pier gatepost. On the opposite gatepost is another dedicatory plaque to the men of the 467th Bomb Group USAAF at nearby Rackheath Airfield. https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/6549031
