Between Strand Close and the Kingston Youth Centre, is Brunswick Arcade, Nos.50 to 64 Beverley Road, a purpose-built shopping arcade, built 1890. Today, restaurants, shops, takeaways and offices, some vacant. This development replaced Kingston Terrace, 1841, a large villa and three houses. This landmark arcade is on the City Council's register of at-risk buildings, having become a target for arson and anti-social behaviour. The building has been identified as a priority within the Beverley Road Townscape Heritage scheme, designed to regenerate the city's main northern route.
