Built during the latter years of WWI on land donated by the Gillott Trustees organisation, essentially to replace a smaller previous Mission church nearby and serve the needs of the growing urban population. The design is by Edwin Francis Reynolds, and the building was Grade II listed https://britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/101393386-anglican-church-of-st-germain-harborne-ward#.XxBX3ihKjcs & https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1393386 in 2009.
