This clump of trees and shrubs are the site of the former church of St Peter. After centuries of service, the villagers became fed up with its size, its dampness and tendencies to flood (the River Brue is just beyond the low hedgeline). Around it were some graves and a wall which are now difficult to spot or lost completely.
