These concrete lampposts are made by Stanton and Staveley and date from around 1970. Originally they were fitted with matching concrete outreach brackets. The lanterns fitted had low pressure sodium lamps which emitted monochromatic yellow light. In the early 2000s the concrete brackets were replaced by galvanised steel sleeves and fitted with high pressure sodium lighting as seen in this image. These are due to be replaced by LED lighting in 2021.
