The gates with dragons on at the entrance to Baker’s Farm viewed from Baker’s Lane. There are legends of dragons in Sussex. In particular one of the main dragon haunts was reputed to be in the nearby St Leonard’s Forest at Horsham. This may have been an inspiration for the naming of Dragon’s Green.
