This view of the River Stour was taken from the little bridge over it, which leads to a small industrial estate at Wilden. The bridge also gives access to the nearby Wilden Pool and the start of the track to the Staffs & Worcs Canal at Oldington Bridge. Part of the industrial estate is adjacent to the right hand bank shown in this photo. The river at this point seems even more murky and unloved than at many other parts. There is a lot of rubbish of various types adorning the banks and some remnants of paper or plastic can be seen on the left bank in this photo. The vegetation here is so intense that only in Winter can you get a reasonably good view of the river.
