The idyllic St John's College cricket ground is behind the trees on the left. Stench-pipe enthusiasts will be thrilled to see, next to the first lamp standard on the left, a rusty sewer vent pipe with the usual decorative cast-iron base. Though some coronavirus pandemic restrictions have been eased, the main roads into Cambridge are still seeing far less traffic than in normal times.
