The memorial bears 45 names of those lost in The Great War and twelve from the Second World War including Sgt. Ian Clenshaw, the first pilot to be killed in the Battle of Britain on 10th July 1940. He is buried in the churchyard extension. https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/6533871
