The postbox is outside the post office seen in Image If it is contemporary with the nearby church opened in 1953, this would be one of the last to bear the insignia of George VI, who died in 1952. At the time of the photo during the 2020 Covid-19 pandemic, it had been designated a 'NHS priority postbox' where people could post swabs to be urgently sent to laboratories for testing.
