The project was established in March 2016 and comprises two fields adjacent to Leeds ring road, which had both already been reduced in size by construction of the road. Trees have been planted at the side of each field nearest to the road and the rest is currently open space. It is reached from the town centre by an existing public footpath passing between the two fields.
