This mid/late nineteenth century brick building, which runs along Chadderton Street between Cable Street and Addington Street, is a Grade II listed building (Historic England List Entry Number: 1208255 https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1208255 ). Once an umbrella factory (https://manchesterhistory.net/manchester/tours/tour16/area16page32.html Manchester History Net), the ground floor has been occupied in more recent times by the Manchester Chinese Christian Church http://www.manchesterccc.org.uk/?page_id=1629 whose name is still above the door on Cable Street although the building itself now looks rather dilapidated and deserted.
